Derald Lee Hendircks, 88, of Simla, Colorado, passed away on September 5, 2021 at St. Francis Hospital.
Derald was born on June 11, 1933 to Evert and Olive Hendricks in Simla, Colorado. He graduated in Simla in 1951. Derald entered the Army in September of 1953, and was honorably discharged in June of 1955.
Derald then farmed and ranched south of Simla until 1963 when he bought his farm south of Limon off South Rush Creek.
He then bought a ranch in Missouri in 1980, which he sold in 1983 to be able to move back to Colorado where he bought the family’s home place southeast of Simla. Derald ranched and farmed there until his passing.
Derald is survived by 2 children, Kristy and Mark, 8 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, several nephews, nieces, cousins and his brother, Ted Hendricks.
Derald was preceded in death by his parents, Evert and Olive Hendricks, his brother Don, and 2 sisters, Judy and Delores.
