The purpose of the Big Sandy Alumni Association is to maintain a general data base of individuals who have graduated from the Big Sandy High School which includes year of graduation, latest known address, spouses’ name if appropriate, date of passing, and membership status all of which is made available to members. Our primary activity is to provide monetary scholarships to Big Sandy graduates which are funded by membership fees, interest on investment, memorials to individuals, and extra monetary discretionary giving by alumni members. We provide for an annual picnic/business meeting the fourth Sunday of July each year where members or individual classes can reunite.
