Allan “Coach” Book

Coach Allan Book began teaching and coaching at Big Sandy School in 1965. During his years at Simla, he taught a variety of Industrial Art classes, coached many teams and mentored many alumni as a Driver’s Education instructor. In between teaching and coaching, he also aided many in the Simla area and neighboring communities with building and remodeling projects.
Services to be held at Big Sandy School on February 25, 2022, with visitation starting at 9:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Big Sandy Alumni Association Scholarship Fund or Simla Methodist Church, or a charity of the donor’s choice.
